Recap: Hannah Zartman Artist Talk

Our recording from February 22, 2025.

In February, the gallery held its first Artist Talk of the year! We already published an article about this event, but soon after, we realized that viewers weren’t able to access the recording on all devices. So, without further ado, here is the official recording of Hannah Zartman’s artist talk. Closed captions and the auto-generated transcript are optional.

As a former mentor of Hannah’s, Dr. Huebner from West Chester University introduced the artist and talked briefly about The Women’s & Gender Studies Collection—a project that Hannah also played a role in creating.

The floor was then handed over to the artist, who spoke about artistic and literary inspirations, guiding themes, theoretical frameworks, and physical processes regarding their art practice and the exhibit “Toward a Tender Place.”

We highly recommend watching—especially if you are interested in printing processes and/or queer theory!
