As some of you may know, since the beginning of November, the Longview Gallery has been transformed into a cozy art market for the holiday season.
The 1st Annual Holiday Exhibit showcases work from 30 talented artists. The artists came to us through a collaboration with local arts organizations: Chester County Art Association, Aston Mills Arts, Art|Works Initiative, as well as Longview Gallery’s solo exhibitors.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed curating this exhibit, watching handmade artwork find new homes, and connecting with so many wonderful artists and local residents.
Closing day is fast approaching - December 28th - so add a visit to the Longview Gallery to your calendar!
Let’s take a look back on the exhibit so far.
Opening Reception
On Saturday, November 2nd, the exhibit was ready to make its debut to the public! With Christmas lights twinkling, we welcomed friends and strangers into the gallery for our opening reception.
Delicious wine and cheese were graciously provided by our sponsors: Sharon of Le Garage Winery and Sue of Birchrun Hills Farm. Be sure to follow them and support their businesses (if you don’t already).
Below are some photos from the evening!
Midshow Reception & Live Music
On the 1st Saturday in December, we enjoyed live music in the gallery to celebrate the halfway point of the Holiday exhibit.
The 4-member band, Idra, jammed out in the gallery. This was the first time we hosted a full live band, and we loved every minute. It was also the birthday of one of the band members, so there was cake and subsequent cake-cutting with a sword (naturally).
For this reception, we offered cookies and chocolates from our newest sponsors: Ally’s Morsels and Bridge Street Chocolates!
Watch the video clip below to get a taste of Idra’s vibe! Don’t worry if you missed them - they will be back at Longview Farm in the spring.
Shop Intentionally & Support Local
Getting a handmade, quality gift and contributing to the local art community at the same time… what a great way to mark the holiday season!
My grandmother, for one, loves the ceramic bowl we gifted her by Laurie Wilkey.
We are open Tuesday/Thursday/Friday from 3 - 6pm & Sunday from 12 - 3pm. Less than 2 weeks left! Check out the 1st Annual Holiday Exhibit while you can. Follow our social for daily art posts.
