1st Annual Celebration Fest: A Look Back
We hosted the 1st Annual Celebration Fest at the Farm on Saturday, September 28, 2024...and it was a blast!
On Saturday, September 28th, Jessi, Ilya, and the Longview Farm community convened at the farm for the 1st Annual Celebration Fest! This event, which will return every year at the end of September or early October, is meant to bring together the incredible existing community and welcome newcomers into the fold.
While weather was not entirely on our side this weekend, those who braved the mist and gloom enjoyed an afternoon full of live music, a potluck-style food spread, a bathtub full of beverages, and so much joy!
We even welcomed Ally Antonini from Trinity Willows Yoga and Wellness to offer our guests mini sessions of Tai massage and reiki!
Our first musical guest, Matt Snyder, performed at the beginning of the day on our outdoor stage, filling the lawn with smiles and applause between every song. Once the rain proved a bit too much of a nuisance, we moved our other performers inside the gallery to play their sets.
Rae Carrero-Schmidt graced the space with his/her incredible voice and soft and sweet ukelele strumming, performing entirely original songs. And finally, we welcomed singer/songwriter Sean Smith to the stage. Sean performed a mix of original tunes and covers for a joyful audience.
The evening concluded with a valiant attempt to build a bonfire with damp wood, by our persevering team member, Taylor Webb, with blowtorch in hand. The party ended officially at 8pm but the afterparty continued well into the night around a successfully lit bonfire.
So, if we missed you at this year’s Celebration Fest, we hope you will join us in the years to come! We hope to grow this event bigger and better each year as part of our mission to foster our community of local artists, art collectors, musicians, farmers, and amazing humans here at the Longview Farm.
